Die Europäische Kommission hat den aktuellen Diskussionsstand zur Revision der eIDAS-Verordnung[1]Digital identity and trust: Commission launches public consultation on the eIDAS Regulation (Revision of the eIDAS Regulation – European Digital Identity) veröffentlicht.

Business opportunities remain untapped and secure identification costs remain excessive, such as in banking and finance, as long as trusted public eID cannot be used widely and conveniently in the private sector and/or market-based solutions are not supported by regulation.
